This site will provide a listing of Development Permits being considered by the Summer Village of Bonnyville Beach.
All permits are subject to the Land-Use Bylaw for the Summer Village.

Development Permits 

The reason we issue development permits in the Summer Village is to have a record of changes in Properties and Improvements.  This is also for the issue of Safety Code permits for Plumbing, Electrical and Construction regulated areas.  The Summer Village has made arrangements with the MD of Bonnyville to handle the Safety Code permits and inspections.  Your Contractor will be able to tell you if you need any of the safety code permits in addition to the development permit issued by the Summer Village.

Any person claiming to be affected by a decision of the Development Authority may appeal to the Subdivision and Development Officer by serving written notice of appeal to the Development Officer  within 21 days of the date of issuance of the permit,
or by mail to PO Box 6439, Bonnyville, AB   T9N2G9

Development Permit

Erosion Control Permit

The Erosion Control permit is a requirement to apply to Alberta Environment to make any changes to the lake shore BEFORE making the changes.

Land Use Bylaw

Bylaw 166-2020 is the Land use bylaw for the Summer Village.  Please download and refer to it for questions you might have about specific uses for your property.
