Council of the Summer Village of Bonnyville Beach propose to adopt a Municipal Development Plan as required under the provisions of Section 632(1) of the Municipal Government Act 

Municipal Development Plans set out guidelines and a framework for directing the use and development of lands within the Summer Village.

A public hearing to consider the Municipal Development Plan will be held on Wednesday November 27, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. in the Beach Office (182 Bonnyville Beach, AB) at which time written and oral submissions may be presented to Council. Submissions may be made by any person(s) who claim to be affected by the proposed bylaw or from any other person whom the Councils agree to hear.

Any written submissions that are mailed, e-mailed, faxed, or delivered to the Summer Village of Bonnyville Beach, by 12:00 noon on Friday, Nov 22, 2019, will be included in the council agenda. Individuals wishing to make oral submissions at the public hearing are requested to register by the deadline indicated above.

Should you make a written submission, the information you provide along with your name and legal address will be made public, subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information and Protection Privacy Act. Copies of the proposed bylaw and any supporting information may be inspected at the Summer Village of Bonnyville Beach Office, during office hours, or on the municipal webpage at:

Over the past 5 years, Alberta Health has been working with internal and external partners to revise the water quality indicators and standards for beach water quality. We wanted to let you know that a new Alberta Safe Beach Protocol is now available.   This document outlines information about beach water quality indicators, water quality targets, and provides a site assessment tool and recreational water safety plan template.
